Cal Cities Roundtable: Making the Most of Cal Cities and Your Statewide Network

Please join the Cal Cities Young Elected Officials Member Group on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 2:00 p.m. for an interactive roundtable focused on how young elected officials can make the most of Cal Cities, connect with peers, and find trusted resources when questions or challenges arise.

Local elected officials are often asked to respond to complex issues affecting their cities and communities. Changes at the state and federal levels can also create new questions about local impacts, available resources, and how city leaders can effectively communicate with their constituents.

This roundtable will provide a welcoming space to ask questions, exchange experiences, and learn more about the resources and support available through Cal Cities and the Young Elected Officials Member Group.

Discussion topics may include:

• Understanding how Cal Cities develops policy positions and advocates on behalf of cities.
• Finding Cal Cities resources, information, and staff support when questions arise.
• Understanding how state and federal actions may affect cities and local communities.
• Connecting with other young elected officials who may be navigating similar challenges.
• Sharing lessons learned, successful approaches, and resources from cities across California.
• Updates on legislation and insights on what's ahead
