Cal Cities Roundtable: E-Bike Regulation

Tuesday, January 20, 2026 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM   iCalendar Pacific Standard Time

Join us on Jan. 20, at 11:00 a.m. for a roundtable discussion on E-Bike laws, enacted local ordinances and potential state legislation.

Cities across California are experiencing rapid growth in e‑bikes, e‑motorcycles, and other micromobility devices. While these technologies offer mobility, climate, and equity benefits, they also present new challenges related to safety, enforcement, infrastructure, and public understanding of the law. To support cities navigating this evolving landscape, we invite you to participate in a focused policy roundtable designed specifically for cities.

Discussion topics include, but are not limited to:

  • California E-Bike Laws and Recently Enacted Legislation
  • Local Authority and Constraints
  • Enforcement and Safety Challenges
  • City Case Studies
  • Peer Discussion and Q&A

Moderated by:
Damon Conklin, Legislative Advocate, Cal Cities

We encourage cities of all sizes to attend and participate in this timely conversation as E-Bikes continue to reshape and present new challenges to our communities.

Roundtable Discussions are available as an exclusive member benefit and are open to Cal Cities member cities only. Discussions are member driven and will not be recorded. The Zoom meeting information will be provided after registration. For questions specific to registration, please contact Isaac Black.
